Katarina Wit started skating when she was five. Her talent soon became apparent and she was invited to Karl-Marx-Stadt's school for special needs. The school was where she got to know Jutta Muller here. Witt became a star in the year 1982 when she was second in the World Championships at Copenhagen. Since then, Witt's grace and beauty have captured the attention of everyone. Olympic success Katarina Wit took home gold in ice skating for women during Sarajevo Winter Games 1984.
