Anna Silk
Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born the 31st of January 1974. She's best known as Bo in the Showcase TV series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk as well as Peter Silk were both professors. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She is Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching and attending play rehearsals. Silk was a part of a variety of commercials while she was young. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met during an Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. They got engaged in 2009 and were married in an unofficial ceremony in was held in December. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows at the Jewish wedding ceremony held in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk gave birth to a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron was her second born son on 13 May 2016. Silk has played a range of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2009 for her performance. She was given the role of Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian show Lost Girl in 2009. Silk was pregnant while filming of the third season finale episode and broke the news to viewers of the show in a Showcase preview of the Season Three special on January 6 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter, on June 20, 2013 that production was underway for Season 4. The 4th of June, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed that production had begun for Season 4, which will air in the fourth season. CNN named Bo's portrayal alongside Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most watched television couples of all time. E! voted it as the most popular TV couple of the year 2013.
